Fly fishing in the Mammoth area is in full swing. Weather looks great for the week to come, with daytime temps in the 60’s. Some warmer temps should give us a good boost from snowmelt, raising flows and flushing lots of fish food through the water column. Hot Creek is fishing great, weeds aren’t much to contend with yet, and dry dropper rigs have been effective. Lower O, EW, both have wadeable flows and are great options if you have some nymphing skills. Upper O you have dry fly opportunities, and always a chance at a big Bow or maybe a Cutty this time of year. Or you hike off the beaten path somewhere, find some solitude, and some fish that haven’t seen flies in a while… Hit us up and we’ll steer you in the right direction!
