Great Fall fishing is starting to get going in here in the Eastern Sierras. The aspens are lit with color in the higher elevations, and our rivers are in great shape. The Upper O has some really nice lake fish already moving in, and plenty of eager resident and planted fish as well. Hot Creek is still very weedy, but the sections that are open have lots of wild bows and browns that will eat smally mayfly nymphs, midges, or a well placed dry fly. Keep it small … 18 - 22. East Walker flows are 140ish, and fall is a great time to explore up there. Nymphing and streamers are the most effective, although I have experienced a good fall bwo hatch up there with really nice fish coming up. Lower O flows still a little high, but won’t be long before they drop and fishing is on fire there. We have openings in Oct / Nov. Hit us up!
